If anyone goes to england you have to go to watch a soccer game. No offense but to anyone who said Beckham is the best player in the world, LOL. Its pathetic Originally posted by 1/2man1/2amazin No offense but to anyone who said Beckham is the best player in the world, LOL. Next world cup England will have one hell of a team though. To go back to the first post, I have to say Rooney has the ability to be the best in the world.Dont think he will become that while still at Everton though.Beckham is not a bad player, but he is overrated definitely. If he hadnt got injured england would have made it to the final. I'm pretty sure with all the talented players on that team(Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo, Raul) they could've prolly scored more... Very strong, holds the ball pretty well and hes got a powerful shot. All he can do is freekicks and i think he only scored about 2 in the last season(he took all the teams free kicks) with real madrid.
What about Arsenal unbeaten in the Premiership that is something i dont think will happen again.Beckham scored more than 2 goals for real madrid and hes good on the Right wing but real use him more on the in the center of midfield hes good at crossing the ball and hes not a all out striker so you probably wouldnt see him scoring 25 - 30 goals.thats what they pay ronaldo and raul to has pin point passing.and hes a hard worker and he had a good start to the first half of the season until the affair scandals were in the papers. And bigger teams want to invest in younger players not pay a player for another two years on 100,000 a week . I seen some of the games on TV over here in england and most of the stadiums arent even half packed out.Henry is the best Striker at the moment and Rooney is going to be the best in the world at juss 18 he shook the euro 2004. Do you think soccer will ever get really big over in US. I think the americans could do a good job as in extravagent and value for money. Freddy Adu probably has the best chance of anyone since Pele' to make Americans interested, but I still don't see it happening.and I forgot to mention Rivaldo is out of contract no one wants to sign him. I mean ive been to quite a few premiership games and looking forward to chelsea vs machester united opening. I personally like soccer and used to play it, but most of my friends seem to think it is for weak kids and that it is a "sissy" sport.
