An English version for Windows was released on Steam by Sekai Project in 2015. In the first story arc, called School Life, he is a high school delinquent who meets many people in his last year at school, including five girls, and helps resolve their individual problems. The second story arc, called After Story, follows his life as an adult after graduating from school. The gameplay of Clannad follows a branching plot line which offers a number of alternate scenarios with dialogue choices and courses of interaction, focusing on the player character's interactions with various non-player characters.
Key went on to produce an adult spin-off titled Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life in November 2005, which expanded on the scenario of Tomoyo Sakagami, one of the five heroines from Clannad.Clannad has made several transitions to other media. There have been four manga adaptations published by ASCII Media Works, Flex Comix, Fujimi Shobo and Jive.*sighs* i just downloaded all 24 ep of this off the psn i can watch it but to bad i can't even play it i love japan but at the same time i hate them they think us americans aren't smart enough to beat these games man i can beat any game on the market they need to giove us americas a chance.what i do not understand is why would they put this on the psn but not release games for it? Clannad felt more like it was trying to be 100% comedy, and by the time the series was ready to end, they were like "Oh, wait guys, we forgot story!that just confuse me its not like there gonna have alot of downloads for the 24 ep's either i just got into clannad once i watched all 24 ep's i loved every min of it but hey i guess watching clannad is just as good as playing it i just hope sony add season 2 on there if they do ill go get 3 more psn cards and get it oh and when i mean make games for it i ment why won't they release the game in the usa? I don't have the space on my Ps3 for 49 episodes of clannad, so I'm waiting for the disc version that's releasing on June 15... "....did After story, which was a hell of alot better than the first Clannad.
IDK maybe they think visual novels wont sell in our territory? To tell the truth, watching it in english took some time getting used to, but it was still good. I have seen Clannad, Air, Kanon, One (Hentai version), and played Moon. Kanon was pretty much right down the middle, so it was perfect.
Great amount of drama AND comedy...too much of either.
Only tiff with Kanon in the anime is the wrong girl wins in the end.
is a Japanese visual novel developed by Key and released on April 28, 2004 for Windows PCs.
While both of Key's first two previous works, Kanon and Air, had been released first as adult games and then censored for the younger market, Clannad was released with a rating for all ages.
It was later ported to the Play Station 2, Play Station Portable, Xbox 360, Play Station 3 and Play Station Vita consoles.
